Everyone is welcome at St. Johns Food Share. We serve our membership community, as well as other North Portland food pantries, shelters and the faith community when we have abundant donations. There are no income requirements or residency restrictions.
Join our diverse community
St. Johns is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Portland. It is home to whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asians and Pacific Islanders, and Native Americans. 60% of residents are non-white, nearly 25% within the 97203 zip code live at or below the poverty line. St. Johns Food Share is here to empower all families and promote human dignity.
Work with us and save
We serve our membership and the community, and they in turn serve us by giving some time and elbow grease each month. We work together for sustainability and healthy eating, with big savings on food costs.
We are a fixture in St. Johns, helping families bridge the gap between hunger and food security, while saving money on healthy food and keeping food out of the waste stream.
Our members include elders, families with young children, people of color, college students, the disabled, and the economically challenged from both small and large households.
Come visit with us
We are growing. We invite your group or organization, social service agency, school, faith group or housing community to contact us if interested in a presentation or a visit to our facility. Our Outreach Committee is hard at work and welcomes new members.
